Always a great trip

I booked the Ireland tour again, my third trip with Cosmos. This time it was the 'Emerald Isle Discovery' package. Everything was organized just as well as my previous tours to Italy and Scotland. The hotels were comfortable and the itinerary was packed but not rushed. They really have consistency down, which is why I keep coming back. The motorcoach was clean and on time every day, and our guide, Fiona, was super knowledgeable.

Good value for Spain

I was looking for a budget-friendly way to see Spain, and Cosmos popped up. I snagged an early booking discount for their 'Spain & Portugal Discovery' tour, which saved me a good bit of money, like $300 off. It wasn't the fanciest tour out there, but for what I paid, it was solid. The included meals were decent, and we saw all the major sights. I felt like I got a good bang for my buck, especially with that discount.

Easy National Parks trip

Decided to finally do a National Parks tour with my sister. We picked Cosmos' 'America's National Parks' tour. It was super easy to book online, just a few clicks. The whole thing felt pretty chill. The bus was comfy, and we didn't have to worry about planning anything. Got to see some amazing stuff without any hassle. Definitely took the stress out of vacationing.

Hey, do Cosmos tours include meals? Or is it like, breakfast only and you're on your own for lunch/dinner?

A Amber Jackson 4 weeks ago
It's usually breakfast included, and then some dinners on certain days, but not all of them. Lunch is almost always on your own, giving you freedom to explore.

They usually spell it out in the tour itinerary, but yeah, don't expect every meal. Breakfast for sure, and usually a few dinners, but you'll be buying a lot of your own lunches and some dinners. It's good though, lets you try local spots.

Thinking of doing their Scotland tour, but comparing it to Gate 1 Travel. Anyone have experience with both and can say which one is generally better for the price or overall experience?

D Danielle Ramirez 4 days ago
Cosmos is usually a bit more budget-friendly than Gate 1, I've found. Gate 1 might throw in a few more meals or excursions, but for the basic guided tour, Cosmos is solid.

I've done a Cosmos trip and my friend did Gate 1 for a similar destination. Cosmos felt more 'no frills' but still really good value. Gate 1 seemed a bit more polished, but also more expensive. Depends on what you're looking for, I guess. If you want to save some cash, Cosmos is great.

Hey guys, thinking about booking a Cosmos tour to Italy, but I'm a bit confused about discounts. Do they ever have like, promo codes you can just plug in?

A Amanda Mitchell 1 month ago
Nah, not really promo codes. It's more like they have deals that pop up, like early bird stuff or if you're traveling solo sometimes. You just pick those when you're booking.

O Olivia Allen 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I tried looking for a code once too. What they mostly do are things like $$ off if you book super early, or sometimes if you're taking another tour with them. No random codes floating around though, afaik.

how easy is it to cancel a cosmos tour if something comes up? like, do they make you jump through hoops or is it pretty straightforward?

A Abigail Scott 1 week ago
It was pretty easy for me last year. I just called them up and they walked me through it. Had to pay a fee, but that's standard for travel stuff.

I had to cancel a trip once, and while there's a cancellation policy and potential fees based on how close to departure you are, the actual process of notifying them and getting it processed was fairly smooth. No crazy hoops, just make sure you read the fine print on their site for the deadlines.

Thinking of doing one of their National Parks tours, but I'm wondering if flights are usually part of the package price or if that's extra on top?

I Ian Lee 1 month ago
They're usually not, unless it specifically says 'air-inclusive'. Most of the time you gotta sort out your own flights to get to the starting city.

i think it depends on the specific tour. some of the bigger vacation packages might have flights, but for a lot of the standard guided tours, you book your own airfare.
